| Quote ("MandieMarmalade") Yes you read that right, and yes this is in the right form.. Just read this.. The Japanese media production company Pony Canyon has confirmed on Friday that Yoshiki Nakamura's Skip Beat! shōjo manga will be animated for television this fall. The story revolves around a teenaged girl named Kyōko who followed her childhood friend Shō to Tokyo as he pursues his dream of becoming a star. Despite playing housekeeper and taking care of Shō, Kyōko overhears Shō dismissing her as a boring nobody. Furious, Kyōko vows to also become a singer and defeat Shō. Kiyoko Sayama (Angel Sanctuary, Pretear, Princess Tutu, Vampire Knight) will direct the animators at Hal Film Maker (Angel Sanctuary, Pretear, Princess Tutu), while Mayori Sekijima (Angel Sanctuary, Clamp School, Petite Cossette) will oversee the scripts. Hakusensha has been publishing the manga in Hana to Yume magazine, and 6 million copies of the 18 current volumes have been published so far. Viz Media will ship the 13th volume of the manga in North America in two weeks. [From AnimeNewsNetwork] What are your thoughts and feelings about this wonderful manga becoming an anime? I think it will be fun, lets just hope from some awesome Seiyuu to make the characters the best they can be.. I really hope they do a good job with it, as I LOVE LOVE LOVE the manga! I'm hoping for the best from an anime.
Siggie leeched off of Nixie~

| now that i've read the latest chapter of the manga i started the anime!it's great!they did a really good job~^^i still prefer the manga though,no matter how closely the anime follows it.it's just that the manga has "sth more",imo it's much better than the anime~oh well,i enjoy it nevertheless;i love seeing mu fav characters moving and talking!(though they made Ren less hotter>.<).i follow the [Ureshii-Yoroshiku] releases(their video quality and subs are the best among the groups that are subbing Skip Beat) so i'm still on episode 6 (i don't mind cause i'm a quality freak so i prefer slow releases than quickly ones with bad quality ) and looking forward to the next ones!^_^

| Well, I seeing this anime, and I'm reading the manga... I prefer the manga, but I really think that the anime is very well made! It follow correctly the story of the manga and they left the expressions of the manga be on the anime!

| It was a shock and surprised. The anime follows the manga very directly. I hope they won't make it like vampire knight D= I was disappointed on that.

| I'm loving the way the anime is going. I'm very very satisfied so far! Though I admit, I wasnt used to Ren's voice initially but I've gotten quite used to it. Still not used to Yashiro though.... But I hope that we get a proper ending...or better yet, a second season! Cause I so much want to see Ren dealing with Vie Ghoul and Kyoko's Mio And the "Emperor of the Night" (kyaaa~!) *fingers crossed* Please please please!

| I'm watching it now too. Couldn't understand why it took so long for the manga to be anime material. It's awesome!

| Quote (thesimpsons) I'm watching it now too. Couldn't understand why it took so long for the manga to be anime material. It's awesome! I concur! It took way too long for SB to be animated. But the even bigger question for me is why no one picked up Nakamura-sensei's TCP *ponders*

| I just heard some terrible news apparently Skip-beat is liscenced according to Chihiro coz the said its according to crunchyroll.. Quote “I’m working with TV TOKYO to bring you the best anime titles immediately after broadcast! Starting January 8th, we’ll have the newest eps of Naruto Shippuden, Shugo Chara, Skip Beat!, and many other titles on CR with english subs for ppl everywhere possible (with some exceptions like Japan)” - Crunchyroll In other words, Skip Beat is licensed. [...] ^Quote from chihiro subs dont you guys think that maybe its just some sort of misunderstanding like they will aslo show Skip-beat but it isnt liscensed right coz i'm pretty sure TV TOKYO a publishing studio or whatever in japan not america please tell me its a misunderstanding because that means i have to wait til next year for episode 1 all over again! oh the agony!! On another i think skip-beat rocks it does deserve to be liscenced i cant deny it that fact after all the manga is liscenced but the subs on the dvds we buy are plain crap compared to the fansubs that are subbing that has higher quality. Skip-beat rules!

| Urg. I've been watching the anime that has been coming out and I do not fancy it very much. It is strange. Usually when I find an anime the follows the manga pretty well, i think it is alright - but this anime... there are just some things missing! Little things that they changed for the anime to make it more appropriate for younger audiences makes me a little upset. Considering, I thought the manga was amazing and hilarious, the remake into anime lost some of it's.. um.. more mature humor? *shrug*

| I really love this one At the beginning I was afraid that, as other anime, this could't reproduce all the amusing scene of the manga, but I must say that (exept for the episode Ren make kyouko angry and she show him the medium finger) the anime is quite coherent and as hilarius as the manga P.S. I don't know if you use the spoiler tag so I coloured what could be a spoiler, I hope it's fine, and I just found the foxies in the smileys list. I love them

| The manga is much much better and i think in the anime everything seems rushed(feelings and changes in the characters can't be brought out efficiently)...However lately,i've been suffering from Skip Beat deficiency so gave the anime a second chance(i had abandoned it at ep7) and now i'm hooked!I love to see the Kyoko demons and the wonderful chibies animated as well as the seiyuu<3333Manga will always be better by far but i really enjoy the anime as well.Did anyone else like Fuwa's song "Prisoner" that was played a bit in episodes 18 and 19?I seriously LOVED it!The lyrics and the music is <3333~Is it Mamoru Miyano that's singing?<3 PS:Although i hate Shotaro and i want him to be endlessly tortured(death is not enough),the fact that his seiyuu is my beloved Mamoru Miyano makes me think of him as bit (a tiny bit) hot.......arggg!!i feel so guilty>_<*punches her head*

| Don't really agree with you amaya... I think it's really close to the manga compared to most of the animes... But prefered the manga anyway XD Was a bit disappointed by the last episode (19) in that one the emotions are not well shown.
